Getting started with Claywire.

From sign-up to your first live conversation. Here's exactly what happens, and what you can do at each step.

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. Create your account

Sign up with your work email and create your workspace. Your account comes with free trial credits so you can explore the whole product right away — the dashboard, the lead inbox, workflows, and the AI sandbox.

There's no credit card required to start. You're setting up a workspace, not committing to a plan yet.

2. Your account goes under review

New accounts start in a short review step. This is intentional: Claywire is a guided, done-with-you platform, not a self-serve chatbot you wire up alone. While your account is under review, our team confirms your plan and helps you get setup right.

What you can do straight away during review:

  • Explore the full dashboard, lead pipeline, and inbox.
  • Test the AI in the sandbox — send it sample customer messages and watch it qualify, answer, and book, all on your free trial credits.
  • Build your knowledge base and pick the agent workflow for your industry.
  • Set up your team and preferences.

What waits until approval: connecting your live WhatsApp number and sending real messages or broadcasts. This keeps anything from going out to real customers before your setup is confirmed.

3. Approval & going live

Once your plan and setup are confirmed, we approve your workspace. You'll get an in-app notification and an email, and live WhatsApp connection and broadcasting unlock immediately.

From there, connect your WhatsApp number in Settings (our connecting WhatsApp guide walks you or your developer through it), and your AI agents start handling real conversations.

4. Day-to-day

After you're live, Claywire watches every WhatsApp conversation: it greets new leads, qualifies them, answers questions from your approved knowledge base, books appointments, and hands off to a human when needed. You stay in control from the inbox, and the dashboard shows you exactly what's happening.
