Template notice
This document is a starting template tailored for an India-based WhatsApp CRM platform. It is not legal advice. Have it reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel — and aligned to your final business details and current DPDP Act 2023, TRAI, and Meta/WhatsApp Business policy requirements — before publishing or relying on it in production.
1. Credits are prepaid digital goods
Claywire credits are prepaid digital goods that you purchase in advance and that are consumed as you use the platform — for AI replies, message automation, and voice tasks. Buying credits is the purchase of a consumable digital service, not a deposit.
2. Consumed credits are non-refundable
Credits that have already been consumed by usage are non-refundable. Because each AI reply, automated message, or voice task incurs real third-party cost (the WhatsApp Business Platform, AI inference, telephony), we cannot refund usage that has already occurred.
3. Unused credits
Refunds of unused credit balances may be considered at our discretion in limited circumstances, such as:
- A duplicate or erroneous top-up made in clear error and reported promptly.
- A documented billing error on our side.
- A refund required by applicable consumer-protection law.
Where approved, refunds of unused credits may be subject to a [processing fee, if any] and exclude any promotional or bonus credits, which carry no cash value. Requests must be made within [refund request window, e.g. 7 days] of the top-up.
4. Setup and subscription fees
- Setup / onboarding fees cover one-time configuration work and are generally non-refundable once onboarding has begun.
- Monthly subscription or retainer fees are billed in advance for the upcoming period and are non-refundable for the current period once it has started, except where required by law.
- Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period or already-consumed credits.
5. Pilot terms
Pilot or trial plans may have specific terms set out at signup (for example, a fixed pilot fee or a capped credit allowance). Pilot fees are [pilot refundability — e.g. non-refundable] unless stated otherwise in your pilot agreement.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email us with:
- Your workspace / account email.
- The transaction ID or invoice number.
- The reason for the request and the amount.
Send requests to billing@claywire.in. We may ask for additional verification before processing.
7. Processing timeline
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within [e.g. 5–7 business days]; the time for the amount to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
8. Payments and chargebacks
Payments and refunds are processed through our payment processor, Razorpay. Card and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we do not store full card numbers. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first at billing@claywire.in so we can resolve it. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of your account pending resolution, and we reserve the right to dispute chargebacks for services already rendered or credits already consumed.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
